Welcome to Red’s Room

Vintage home decor and sunlight at Red’s Room

Curated vintage treasures with soul and a story

Red’s Room was built on a love for the old, the handmade, and the soulful. Curated by Heather Stubblefield, this cozy corner of Covington celebrates everything vintage fueled by her free spirit and deep family roots.

About the Curator

A mother of three with a love for retro patterns and soulful pieces, Heather Stubblefield has always had a thing for the old and offbeat. Whether it’s a lava lamp, a velvet chair, or a hand-painted dish, Heather sees the beauty in forgotten treasures. Red’s Room is her way of sharing that beauty—one quirky, cool item at a time.

The Story Behind the Name

Who Was Red?

Red’s Room is named in honor of Heather’s grandfather, John Palmer “Red” Stubblefield. A cartographer by trade and a shopkeeper by heart, Red owned a small store right on the Covington square—selling an ever-changing mix of useful and curious items.

Known for his shock of red hair and his quiet strength, Red passed down more than his nickname—he passed down a love for local business, storytelling, and the kind of items that carry a little magic. Red’s Room is a tribute to that legacy.
